Dr. Stephen Matarazzo is very passionate about dentistry and loves his job. He earned his undergraduate degree at Boston College, and then graduated from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1978. He immediately started a private practice, which served the Quincy area, including Hingham, Braintree, Weymouth, Milton, and Norwell. He has a thirst for continuing knowledge, and continues to study the new technologies and techniques of cosmetic, restorative, and general dentistry to provide his patients with the very best his profession has to offer.
The doctor studied at the L.D. Pankey Institute, where dentists are trained to be perfectionists. Pankey dentists provide optimum, individualized care to create long-lasting function, comfort, and naturally beautiful, healthy smiles. He also attended the Misch International Implant Institute, and he is a Fellow of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists). Dr. Matarazzo is a member of DOCS and he has received advanced training in oral conscious sedation to help his patients replace negative dental experience with positive ones.
Dr. Matarazzo has worked closely with world-class restorative dentist and international lecturer, Dr. Bill Strupp, as well as Dr. Stephen Buchanan, world-renowned endodontics speaker and clinical professor, and Dr. Myron Nevins, former president of the American Academy of Periodontology. He trained with the best, and then further perfected those skills to present his patients with dentistry at its finest.

Dr. Stephen Matarazzo is married to Joanne, and together they have three children: Michael, Katie, and Meg. They enjoy spending time surfing, sports, and horseback riding. Their family is also involved in many charity efforts, including those associated with Team in Training and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
