Dr. Stephen Matarazzo
Hello, my name is Dr. Stephen Matarazzo. I want you to know that I love dentistry. It is one of my greatest passions, next to my wife and our three children, Katie, Michael, and Meg, who are true gifts from God.
I am also passionate about my work as a volunteer officer for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, since 2003. Cancer patients having stem cell or bone marrow transplant cannot have any trace of gum disease, or decayed or infected teeth. These everyday problems can cause the transplant to fail. In fact, 80 percent of transplant failures are caused by undiscovered and untreated dental infections. The future is already uncertain for these patients. I treat these courageous individuals like my family. I am thrilled to serve them and be part of their recovery back to health and life.
I have focused my entire career, since 1978, on what I call “big problem dentistry.” The purpose of this website is to give you hope, even if you have severe dental problems. Even if they are huge. Even if you hate your smile. Even if every tooth in your mouth is hopeless, or you have no teeth. My message is that there is hope, and I can help you.
My core areas of excellence are:
- Smile make-overs
- Implant dentistry
- Full mouth rehabilitation
- Full dentures

You may not be sure which category (or categories) you fit into. I encourage you to take a look at these sections on this website to see what you identify with. Each area contains a series of questions designed to help you clarify your problems, concerns, and goals. I use your answers to understand your history and what results will make you happy. My responsibility, which I take very seriously, is to guide you to a customized solution that is right for you. My promise is that you and I will have a clear vision of the end result before any treatment begins. I have never met a person with a big dental problem that I can’t help.
You are going to love my team. These talented, dedicated individuals have been with me for what seems like forever. I thank God I have them to count on, and you will, too.
Thank you,
