6 Ways Teeth Reconstruction Enhances Quality of Life

Is teeth restoration worth it, you may ask? Absolutely! Especially if you have multiple oral issues impairing your smile’s health and functionality! Dr. Stephen Matarazzo is the person to see for full-mouth reconstruction in the Quincy, Massachusetts, area. Through this treatment, we can restore the quality and integrity of your smile!

Here are six ways teeth reconstruction can enhance the quality of your life:

1. Improves Oral Health

Chipped, cracked, and broken teeth are prone to cavities, as bacteria can penetrate the enamel and eat away at your teeth. Through bonding, veneers, or dental crowns, Dr. Matarazzo can address these issues to protect your oral health. Teeth reconstruction will strengthen weak, worn, and damaged teeth for future use.

2. Protects General Health

Your mouth is, essentially, a gateway into the rest of your body. Infections in the mouth don’t stay put; they move on to other parts of your body, causing health problems such as heart disease, lung disease, and even certain types of cancer. A full-mouth restoration helps prevent infections and other oral problems that can affect your overall health.

3. Restores Ability to Chew

It’s difficult to eat hard or chewy foods if your teeth are cracked, chipped, or not properly aligned. In like manner, you can’t enjoy hot or cold foods and beverages if you have dental sensitivity due to thin enamel or dental decay. A full mouth restoration restores your chewing power and gives you greater freedom to include a wider variety of foods in your diet.

4. Restores Clarity of Speech

Your teeth play a key role in pronouncing sounds and words. Tooth loss or crooked teeth can hinder clear speech, making it hard to communicate easily with others. Replacing lost teeth and/or realigning crooked teeth will restore speech clarity, making socializing a joy again.

Hi this is Dr. Steve and this is one of our nice patients Kirk, and he was nice enough to share his little story with us about this experience here – so kirk take it away. Well my teeth used to be in very rough shape and it was kind of a lost cause and I started needing some dentists that were amazing and they got the word out that I needed some help, and Dr. Stephen Matarazzo was kind enough to give me a call and we got together to get things fixed up and I could not be happier about it – le the pictures speak for themselves! And now when you seem you may notice my smile first but in a way that is an exact opposite that has been noticed previously – when people see me with my old smile they say oh that is a very intense face there and now when they see me – they see my personality a little bit at first and a very nice smile – Dr. Stephen Matarazzo corrected it for me. Yeah they got past – someone doesn’t like the way you smile it kind of blocks them from seeing you – exactly what you said Kirk even though you were there in real – you were happy before we fixed the smile – you were the happiest guy I ever met. Happier yeah, but you were pretty happy before and grateful for life and it’s just let people get to know you a little more. Yeah it acme a lot of times people would see my smile and you can kind of see in their face that it took a bit of getting used to, but you know once that happens then everything was fine but yeah I feel like you know when I meet kids now they don’t look at my face and have their eye wide for the first couple of minutes, they kind of warm up now – yeah it came as quite a shock. Thank you for sharing this story and so it has been a lot of fun and I am glad to have you choose us to help you. You could have gone to any number of fabulous dentists, and so glad you chose us. I am very grateful and glad!

5. Boosts Your Appearance

A full mouth restoration doesn’t just impact your oral health. It also improves how you look by repairing tooth damage, aligning crooked teeth, correcting spacing issues, replacing missing teeth, brightening your smile, and so much more! You can look forward to having a fuller, healthier, brighter, straighter smile that you can showcase with pride!

6. Restores Confidence & Self-esteem

A worn, battered, or incomplete smile can be a source of embarrassment or shame. You may hide your teeth because you feel self-conscious about the condition of your smile. A full mouth restoration will change the way you look and feel about your smile and personal appearance.  You’ll feel more confident on the job, at school, and in social settings, and will be able to enjoy a full and active life.
